Our Fabrics

We source textiles first and design after. Our promise to you is that we will only use textiles that meet some level of accountability and fulfill some or all of the criteria we need to feel comfortable using them. This includes:

  • organic certification for cotton
  • sustainable production - meaning that in the creation and manufacture of the textiles there are considerations made for renewability and waste management.
  • made from recycled fabrics.
  • low impact on the environment and/or there is a closed loop system for managing the process.
  • fair trade must be part of the journey as well. That means workers are paid a fair and living wage for their labor.

GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton is a sustainable fabric that embodies numerous benefits and exceptional qualities. The cultivation of organic cotton follows strict guidelines, prohibiting the use of synthetic pesticides and genetically modified organisms, resulting in a significantly reduced environmental impact. By choosing GOTS certified organic cotton, we support farmers who prioritize soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity. This fabric offers remarkable qualities: it is soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic, making it suitable for sensitive skin. Organic cotton also boasts excellent moisture absorption and temperature regulation properties, ensuring comfort in various climates. Additionally, by opting for organic cotton, we contribute to the preservation of the overall well-being of individuals and the planet, as it is free from harmful chemicals and promotes a circular economy through its biodegradability.
